How can You Achieve Your Goals?

We all have some goal in our life because without them life would be, meaningless. We cannot spend put lives just by sitting idly and doing nothing… …. Everyone has an aim to achieve it is just our laziness that we don’t accomplish them but often forget about them, so deep inside we knew that we have done nothing to achieve them just because we don’t want to do hard work. But what does it take to really achieve something? How can you achieve a goal that you have always wanted to achieve? You have to take the first step. No one is going to do it for you. You have to make up your mind first.

Most of us never follow many of our goals and ultimately feel like failures. This is because we are not going to reach them. Stop being lazy and take the first step towards your goal. The first step is definitely the most difficult step, but when you have taken the first step, it will become easier for the next one. Don’t just say. Do it

“The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.”

– Bill Copeland

In order to get success, it is mandatory to set goals. By this I mean you cannot just accomplish your goal just by saying… you have to make it happen. This is your call to action to succeeding in life. This shows your purpose of life and without it you are nothing. Everyone has an aim to achieve because without goals you lack focus and direction. Setting your goal gives you and your life a direction “ a path “ to follow and you have to go along that road to reach your destination.

“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”

– Tony Robbins

Now that you have set a target goal that you are ready to commit, it’s time to make a plan. No life goal happens magically. This step is often missed when setting the goal. You become so focused on the result that you forget to plan all the steps you need along the way. Write down all the individual steps and then complete them each time, you will realize that you are making progress toward your ultimate goal. This is especially important if your goal is large and demanding or long-lasting.

Create a bigger vision of your goal but break it into milestones. It is necessary to break it into the small task because big bold goals, can be daunting in the early days, and the best way to counter this is to break down your big goal into a series of small task.

Don’t let others decide your goal, this is your life and your goal don’t be influenced by others who say that you cannot do this, you are capable of that.  These people not only demotivate you but you will also start doubting yourself. Try to ask for their suggestion but,  allowing others to determine your goals or change them for you can have several detrimental consequences for your ability to reach your goal because it is no longer your goal and you have no sense of ownership or involvement in this.

The better day to start anything is now (PRESENT DAY). Once you decided the day one and the DAY ONE started.. You have to start somewhere, so dig deep, find your courage and go for it. Your goals will never happen if you do not take action. It may seem scary to take that first step. Maybe you are still working on the details or you are afraid that you are not ready for it. Jump in and you start figuring it out.

“There are only two rules for being successful. One, figure out exactly what you want to do, and two, do it.”

– Mario Cuomo

Clear goals enable you to make clear plans that increase your chance of success. If you do not have a clear goal, you cannot draw up a clear plan to achieve it. BE CLEAR. BE FOCUSED AND STAY MOTIVATED. Stay positive and focus on your task, remind yourself why you’re doing this work in the first place. Keep in mind… that it is the step which will take you to your goal. By doing this you can set the standard for yourself.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”

– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Tracking your performance can help you with what you have achieved and what is left? As you begin to achieve your goals, you take the time to keep track of how things are going – does the plan work? Are you able to meet the deadlines and milestones that you have set yourself? Are you going according to the plan? Review your goals regularly, see where you are lagging behind and start making adjustments.

It is important to celebrate your successes every step of the way to keep you motivated. Give yourself a reward for all those little winnings – they’re right. And when you reach an important milestone, take the time to confirm it. Make sure you are going right, check your result and find a new way to make it even better. And by celebrating your achievements, you stay motivated and focused so that you can continue working harder.
